sar steam
Welcome to SAR Steam, your online resource for everything pertaining to South African Railways steam. As some of you may know, I have been selling mechanical locomotive drawings and e-Books for quite a few years. This has really helped a lot of people build their own live steam locomotives in pretty much any gauge. The only thing that has always let me down has been the postal system, and getting the drawings to you as fast as possible. What I have now done, is I have uploaded my entire library so that once you purchase drawings or e-Books, they will be instantly available for you to download.
ALL PRODUCTS ARE NOW INSTANTLY DOWNLOADABLE.
In 1896 and 1897, the Cape Government Railways placed a second batch of fifty 6th Class 4-6-0 steam locomotives in service, forty-one on its Western System, six on its Midland System and three on its Eastern System. During the Second Boer War, four of them were transferred to the Imperial Military Railways on loan, and in 1907 one was sold to the Benguela Railway in Angola. In 1912, when the remaining forty-nine locomotives were assimilated into the South African Railways, they were renumbered and designated Class 6A
I can only thank the team at SAR STEAM for making these drawing available to the public so we can continue to enjoy the rich steam history of South Africa
